Privacy policy
Last updated 29 September 2026.
This policy explains what personal information Rasesh Koirala SEO Consulting (“I”, “me”) collects through raseshkoirala.com, why, how it is kept safe, and how long it is kept. I handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What I collect through the contact form
When you send an enquiry, I collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, and, if you add them, your website, monthly revenue range and message.
The form also sends a few details about the visit, so I can understand where enquiries come from:
- the page the form was on, the first page you visited on this site in that session, and the website that referred you (if any);
- a source and medium, such as “google / organic” or a campaign tag from a link you clicked;
- your timezone and your device’s local time;
- your IP address, your browser’s user agent, and a random visit ID that is not linked to anything outside this site.
Forms you start but do not send
Once you have typed a valid phone number into the contact form, what you have typed so far is sent to my server, even before you press send. I may call you about your enquiry, even if you do not finish the form. The form says this under the phone field.
That unfinished copy is held encrypted on the server. If you send the form, it is deleted straight away. If you do not send it within about 30 minutes, I get one email alert with those details, and the server copy is deleted. It is never used for anything except following up that enquiry.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and to talk to you about the work you asked about.
- To follow up an enquiry that did not arrive or was not finished, as described above.
- To understand which pages and channels bring in enquiries, so I can improve the site.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which checks how the page is used to tell people from bots; Google’s privacy policy applies to that check.
I do not sell your information, add you to a mailing list without asking, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How it is stored and protected
- Enquiry emails. Your enquiry is emailed to me through Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States, and arrives in my business inbox. Your details may therefore be processed outside Australia by that provider.
- Submission log. So that no enquiry is lost if an email fails, every form submission attempt is recorded in a log on the website’s server. Each entry is encrypted before it is written, with a key that can only be unlocked on my own computer. The server itself cannot read the log, and the log cannot be reached from the web.
- Hosting. The website is hosted on a server in Sydney, Australia, and every page is served over HTTPS.
How long I keep it
- Submission log entries are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Unfinished form copies are deleted when you send the form, or once the alert has been emailed (and after two days at the latest).
- Enquiry emails are kept as business records for as long as they are needed for the work or to meet legal obligations, and then deleted.
Your browser, cookies and WhatsApp
This site does not set advertising cookies. It keeps a few small values in your browser to make the site work: the entry page, source and visit ID described above (in session storage, cleared when you close the tab), whether you have already seen the chat pop-up, and whether you dismissed the announcement bar.
The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. Anything you send there is covered by WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, where the law allows. Email [email protected] or call (02) 9064 2894, and I will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think I have mishandled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
