SEO Copywriter Sydney

Words that rank and convert. I am an SEO copywriter in Sydney who writes content mapped to real search intent - and, because I am also an SEO consultant and developer, I make sure it is structured and implemented to actually rank, not just handed over as a nice document. Pretty copy that nobody finds is a waste of money.

What an SEO copywriter actually does

Most copywriters in Sydney write lovely, persuasive words. That is genuinely valuable - but it is only half the job. An SEO copywriter writes words that are persuasive and findable: built around the exact terms and questions your customers type into Google, structured with the right headings and internal links, and matched to what the searcher actually wants. The result is content that earns traffic on its own, then turns that traffic into enquiries.

Here is the difference in one line. A copywriter asks “does this read well?” An SEO copywriter asks “does this read well, will it rank, and will it convert the person who lands on it?” If a page reads beautifully but no one ever finds it, it has failed at its actual job.

Why most Sydney copywriting never ranks

It is rarely the writing. It is everything around it. The four reasons good copy fails to rank:

No keyword map

The page was written to a topic, not to the specific keywords and intent people search. Close is not good enough for Google.

Wrong intent

A sales page written for a keyword people use to research, or a guide written for a keyword people use to buy. Intent mismatch kills rankings even when the writing is excellent.

No structure

No logical heading hierarchy, no internal links, no schema - so Google struggles to understand and place the page.

Nobody implemented it

Great copy delivered as a Word doc, then pasted in with the wrong title tag and no meta description. The ranking signals get lost in the handover.

Because I am an SEO and a developer as well as a writer, none of these fall through the cracks - I handle the words and the implementation.

How I write content that ranks

1. Keyword & intent map

I research the exact terms your customers use and what they mean by them, then map each one to a page. Every piece has a job before a word is written.

2. A brief, not a guess

Target keyword, search intent, the questions to answer, the angle, and the internal links - so the draft is right the first time.

3. Human writing

Genuinely written by me, for a real reader. Clear, credible, and on-brand - never AI filler pasted in and hoped over.

4. On-page optimisation

Title, meta, headings, internal links and schema, all done properly. You can pressure-test titles with my free SERP snippet preview.

The theory behind all of this is in my free course on on-page SEO and content strategy - I am happy to show my working.

What I write

Service & location pages

The money pages that turn searchers into customers - the ones your business actually lives on.

Blog articles

Genuinely useful, well-researched articles that pull in top-of-funnel traffic and build topical authority.

Product & category copy

Ecommerce copy that ranks category and product pages and reads like a human wrote it, at scale.

Content refreshes

Re-optimising pages you already have - often the fastest win of all, because the page already has history.

SEO copywriting in the AI era

Anyone can now generate a thousand words in seconds, and a lot of Sydney websites have quietly filled up with exactly that. Here is why it does not work: mass-produced AI copy is detectable, generic, and thin on the real experience and expertise Google now rewards. Worse, it rarely converts, because it does not sound like a person who knows your business.

There is a second reason human, authoritative content matters more than ever: AI answers. Google’s AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity increasingly summarise and cite content directly. The pages that get cited are the credible, genuinely helpful ones - not the filler. I use AI as a research assistant, then write and edit as a human, so your content earns rankings, citations and trust rather than blending into the noise.

Why work with me over a freelance copywriter

Sydney has plenty of talented copywriters, and if all you need is beautiful words, hire one. What I offer is different. I am an SEO consultant and developer who writes - so you get the copy and the strategy, the keyword research, the technical implementation and, if you want it, the links and the training, from one person who owns the whole outcome. No handoff between a writer who does not do SEO and an SEO who does not write. And being based in Sydney, I understand the local market you are competing in.

Pricing: standalone or part of a package

There are two ways to work with me on content, and you pick whichever fits:

Standalone copywriting

Quoted separately, per project, based on the pages, research depth and word count. Best when you have a specific set of pages to write or refresh. Send me the list for a real number.

Part of an SEO package

Copywriting is built into my monthly SEO packages, bundled with backlinks and technical work - from 2,000 to 10,000 words a month. Best when you want content flowing continuously as part of a full SEO system.

SEO copywriting across Sydney

I write for businesses right across Sydney and beyond. Whether you need one killer service page or an ongoing content engine, the approach is the same: content mapped to intent, written by a human, and implemented to rank. Browse SEO consulting if you want the wider strategy too, or just send me your site.

We had a “beautifully written” site that ranked for nothing. Rasesh rewrote our service pages around what people actually search, wired up the on-page bits himself, and they started ranking within a couple of months. Words that finally do a job.

SEO copywriter Sydney - FAQ

What is the difference between a copywriter and an SEO copywriter?

A copywriter makes words persuasive. An SEO copywriter makes them persuasive and findable - written around the exact keywords and search intent your customers use, and structured so Google can rank them. Because I am also an SEO consultant and developer, I implement the copy correctly too, not just hand you a document.

How much does SEO copywriting cost in Sydney?

Standalone copywriting is quoted per project, based on the number of pages, research depth and word count. Copywriting is also included in my monthly SEO packages, which bundle content with links and technical work. Send me your list of pages and I will give you a real number.

Do you use AI to write it?

As a research and drafting tool only. I will not publish AI copy as-is - it is detectable, ages badly and dilutes the experience and expertise Google rewards. Every piece gets a genuine human pass, because a person did write it.

What do you write?

Service and location pages, blog articles, product and category copy, and landing pages - whatever your keyword map calls for. I can also refresh and re-optimise content you already have, which is often the fastest win.

Do you only work with Sydney businesses?

I am based in Sydney and work with plenty of local businesses, but I write for clients across Australia and overseas. Most of the work is done remotely.

Need words that actually rank?

Send me the pages you want written or refreshed, and one line on what you want them to do. I’ll come back with a quote and a plan - standalone, or as part of a package.
